Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

I have decided that I need more DA friends. Hmmm.. It gets so lonely on here when you don't! And I haven't written a journal since August! What's up with that!?

In other news.. I have started some part time jobs recently. I'm a dog walker/substitute child care director/co-janitor.. I also have a commission comic going that I have yet to get absolutely started.

I'm a fail though.

I've gotten some money earned but nothing really done. ALTHOUGH! I do have my desk finished now! SUpah fancy art studio for mahself! I'm so excited! *happy dance* I get to paint my room and I have new posters and wall stuff for when I'm finished!

My sister and I have recently been forced to share a room (MY room).. Because her entire ceiling has to be replaced due to water damage... But it sounds like she shouldn't be in my room for much more than a month.. But that's all boring.

Not shit really. Looking for a job. I found one but then they laid off all the people they hired that day, but oh well, I have something to put on a resume now. I also got the pay for that day to. Idk if I get severance pay too, which would be me getting paid for that whole week. I was only a temp worker anyway so probably not.

Haha sounds fun.. Except for the internet problems. Lol, I haven't been on here too much. My sister had to move into my room because the pipes n her ceiling were leaking. They had to take out the whole ceiling and still haven't fixed it.

So all my stuff is piled on my work area and jammed in corners. So I haven't done much drawing or anything. My scanner also won't hook back up to my computer soo NNGHH.. Complications
